Lung Cancer Awareness Month |
|
I visited my local pharmacy on the Scotch Estate to see the excellent work that is carried out by Louise Lydon and her team to help raise awareness for Lung Cancer Awareness Month. Lung Cancer is the second most common cancer diagnosed in the UK. Each year more than 38,000 people in this country are diagnosed with lung cancer – that’s more than 100 people every day. In addition, in 2004, 184 people were diagnosed with the disease in South Tyneside.
