National Minimum Wage

One of the reasons I became an MP was to fight for the rights of working people in my constituency. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Labour Government bringing in the National Minimum Wage. For me, I think this is one

of our proudest achievements in Government. Since we came into power we have increased the level of the minimum wage over the years and brought in better safeguards at work. These included paid holidays and the right to request flexible working for parents and carers.
